Felines Rule the Roost in I'm Tsushima the Cat TV Anime Trailer

Tsushima the cat encounters a dandelion seed in a scene from the upcoming Ore, Tsushima TV anime.

 

In a development that's certain to give you paws for consideration, a new preview video and new cast members have been revealed for I'm Tsushima the Cat (known in Japan as Ore, Tsushima), an upcoming TV anime based on the manga by Opunokyodai about a woman and the many strange felines with whom she shares her life and home. The new cast members include:

 

  • Mami Koyama as Zun-neesan.
  • Nobuhiko Okamoto as Chaa.
  • And Takashi Matsuyama as Osamu.

 

 

The original Ore, Tsushima manga is serialized on Twitter and also published in print by Shogakukan. The story of the series follows the everyday lives of Oji-chan ("Grandpa"), a middle-aged woman whom cats mistake for a man, and the various cats whom she looks after. One day, a free-spirited feline named Tsushima appears in Ojii-chan's garden, and various cat-astrophes ensue.

I'm Tsushima the Cat is directed by Jun Aoki and features animation production by FANWORKS and Space Neko Company. The series will broadcast in Japan as part of the Mainichi Broadcasting System / Tokyo Broadcasting System's "Super Animeism" programming block on Fridays during the the 25:50 time slot (actually on Saturday mornings at 1:50am JST) beginning on July 02, 2021. I'm Tsushima the Cat will also by distributed on the Asmik Ace Youtube channel.
