Regional Mascot Gunmachan Gets TV Anime in October of 2021

Regional mascot Gunmachan celebrates the announcement of his TV anime adaptation in a scene from the trailer.

 

Gunmachan, a regional mascot character representing Gunma Prefecture in Japan, is getting his own short form TV anime aimed at children that will broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations beginning in October of 2021. The series will focus on Gunmachan and his friends displaying compassion and overcoming challenges.

The Gunmachan TV anime is scheduled to run for 13 episodes, with each episode being about 7 minutes in length. Gunmachan will broadcast on TOKYO MX, Television Kanagawa, Television Saitama, Chiba TV, Gunma Television, Tochigi TV, Sun TV, and Kyoto Broadcasting System beginning in October of 2021.
