"Gintama" Kotarou Katsura Finally Gets His Super-Cute Teddy Bear Doll

As reported several times, the Tokyo-based anime merchandise company MOVIC has been releasing special birthday item sets that contain a teddy bear doll inspired by the Gintama characters since January 2020. Its latest eighth entry is Koutaro Katsura, who is celebrating his birthday today, June 26.

In addition to a 23 cm-tall teddy bear doll wearing the same Sinsengumi uniform with Katsura and holding Elizabeth, the "Koutaro Katsura Birthday Set" also includes four limited items using a newly-drawn visual of him - an acryl keyholder, a hologram tin badge, a photo card, and a photo frame. Same as the previous dolls, the date of his birthday is embroidered on the sole of the doll's left foot.

Pre-orders for the 11,000 yen (about 99.3 USD) made-to-order set will be accepted on the Animate stores across Japan, and Animate and Movic's official online stores from today to July 28. Shipments of　the item are scheduled to begin on October 15, 2021.
